Youth Officer Application

Here is the official application form to apply to be an NJHA Youth Officer.
Deadline: September 15.
NJHA Officer Application

To be eligible to be an NJHA Officer applicants must be:
  • 15-22 in age (before December 31 of the current year)
  • attended the NJHA convention the prior year
  • demonstrated record of exemplary personal achievement
  • involved in horticultural related academic and extracurricular activities

If selected for a position, officers must be able to commit at least 5 hours per month, on average, throughout the year to their officer duties and be required to travel to the winter and summer Officer Team meetings (dates TBD). (please note officers may have some nominal fees, as NJHA is on a restrictive budget.)

Application Requirements:
  • upload resume
  • submit a bio (including name, how you got involved in NJHA, and what you hope to accomplish as an Officer)
  • professional headshot to accompany bio
  • request for 2 adult references (non-family related and non-NJHA affiliated) Have sent to [email protected]
  • upload a signed parental agreement (if under the age of 18)
  • optional: 2-3 minute video presentation (include name, age, what you would like to achieve as an officer and ideas you have to increase NJHA awareness)
