Art Pratt was an NJVGA co-founder. After 30 years on the staff he retired from the Department of Vegetable Crops at Cornell University, New York, in 1962.

“National Champion” in vegetable judging, grading and identification was the team from Indiana. The competition was help during the convention of the National Junior Vegetable Growers Association.

Indiana’s Roscoe Fraser Honored

Roscoe Fraser, left, receives the National Junior Vegetable Growers Association Diamond Pin Award from Professor Grant B. Snyder, NJVGA Chairman, Board of Trustees.
Mr. Fraser, a longtime state leader for NJVGA, often left the cheering for the Indiana attendees at the national convention. He was an outstanding leader in enrolling Indiana young people in horticultural projects, and he brought busloads of Hoosier youth to many NJVGA Conventions.
